FC Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
